The $25 Knit-A-Long fee is for those that purchase the yarn from Fillory Yarn. If you choose to bring your own yarn, the price for the KAL participation is $100.
The goal of the 4 day knit-a-long experience isn't really about the timeline - it's about knitting a sweater more quickly than you thought you could.
Fillory Yarn is thrilled to be participating for the first time this year! We are knitting a top-down raglan cardigan with some easy lace patterning and a fun wavy band (with or without buttons, your choice).
We are recommending several superwash yarns we regularly carry:
Malabrigo Rios (210 yards per 100 grams)
Madeline Tosh Vintage (200 yards per 100 grams)
Madeline Tosh Farm Twist (225 yards per 100 grams)
Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash (218 yards per 100 grams)
We will be ordering the yarn specially for you on Friday June 7th. You will receive a 10% discount on the price of the yarn.
Please pick your yarn and give us your top 3 color choices. We will do our best to get you your top choice but need an alternative if that is not available in time before the start of the Knit-A-Long.
The Foxtrot Cardigan pattern can be found here: Foxtrot Cardigan
This page has the swatching and sizing information, your pattern will be dropped into your Ravelry library on June 27th.

Other things to know
- Superwash yarn provides great drape for this design.
- Tonals, solid colors and subtle colorways (speckles/variegated) would be lovely.
- Yardage includes enough to swatch (but keep in mind that if your row gauge varies from the recommended gauge, it could affect your yarn consumption).
- Keep stitch definition in mind. The busier the yarn, the more the lace texture will be obscured.
- If you want more length, it's easy to add another panel of lace or follow the pattern instructions for adding stockinette.
- Guess what? Though the pattern doesn't call for buttons, you can easily stitch buttons onto the front placket and use the eyelets from the wavy lace edge panels as buttonholes. (Secret buttonholes!!!)
