Final Finishing for Weaving

How do you take your weaving from just off the loom to a beautiful functional piece of fabric? This is a two hour lecture class with demonstrations of various techniques.

Much like knitting, weaving isn’t really finished until it’s ends are taken care of, mistakes fixed and its fabric is washed and manipulated. This class covers fulling, pressing and handling edge finishes.

Maximum number of students: 6-8
Minimum number of students: 3
Experience: Weaving
Homework: None (but see Materials needed)
Skill Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: None, but having done Edge Finishes would help.

Bring a sample or two of your weaving so you can see the same issues that will be covered Bring a notebook, pencil/pen and any glasses needed for close work.
Standard knitting supplies: Yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape and opening stitch markers.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: Some experience with weaving is helpful. Homework: none.
Materials Included: The use of the loom and weaving tools and accessories during the class.
Requirements: Bring a sample or two of your weaving so you can see the same issues that will be covered during the lecture.
